Remote Control Shutter Release
This remote shutter release was a life saver this summer as the temperatures hit 100 degrees in Maryland. Using this set up, I was able to sit comfortably in my air conditioned house and still capture some really nice images of birds flying in my yard.
Here’s a shot of the rig. See the receiver mounted on the cameras hot shoe flash? That is paired with a transmitter I hold in my hand.
Initially the birds were a bit hesitant to go to the feeder but they quickly overcame their fear and things returned to normal. Not sure the camo burlap helped but i thought it would break up the outline of the tripod legs.
